Role Rotations​ Participants perform full-time professional roles, which are rotated 2 – 3 times during the 2 years in the program to enhance development through broadening understanding of the business. Role rotations are usually within the same project when possible and take into account the employee’s interests.​ Networking & Visibility Beginning with the 2-day program kick off meeting (usually held in NYC), participants are given numerous opportunities and activities to network with our top leaders, along with building strong relations with their peers in the program across the US. ​ At the start of year 2, participants are assembled into teams pulled from across the nation and tasked with solving a current and relevant business problem at Lendlease. The proposed solution is presented to executive leaders. ​ Business Skills & Technical Training Business skills in Communication, Relationship Building, Negotiation, Presenting, Project Management, Design Management, Finance Acumen, along with more specific technical knowledge relating to professions of interest are developed over the course of the program through a dynamic combination of Collective Learning Workshops, Small Group Learning Forums, On-The-Job and Classroom Based Training. Individual Development Plan Participants gain detailed insight into themselves and are evaluated on their levels of proficiencies within the Lendlease’s Capabilities Framework. Individual Development Plans are jointly created to gain or fine-tune capabilities for success at Lendlease. Participants are provided structure and guidance towards creating goals, action plans, and seeing them through. Mentoring & Ongoing Support​ Mentors are identified and qualified in the business. During the second year of the program, participants select a mentor from a set of matched ones, guided by their individual goals and development needs. ​ In addition to teammates in the program and a manager, participants are assigned a Buddy who recently completed the program. The Cornerstone ProgramManager offers further guidance and support.​ ​ Competitive Pay Structure Employees in the Cornerstone Program start off on a level playing field with each receiving a competitive starting salary for their location. All are on an accelerated compensation plan which entails performance reviews and increases twice a year. ​ Program participants are eligible to participate in the company’s annual discretionary bonus plan, which based on individual and company performance.
